Bought a pair of trousers for £59.95 then was told could buy online from the Raleigh website for £49.99. Phoned the manager to ask if I could return for a refund and he took delight in telling me that I could have bought for even less than than that. He was extremely, extremely rude. I will take satisfaction that anyone who tries to run a business in these times will not succeed with his appalling attitude. I only wish I had recorded the conversation because if I had, and could play it to potential customers, noone would shop at this Ralegh outlet in Guidford. Please be more savvy than me and go here to see what you might like, then buy on line. Rude, rude man who does not deserve to be in business. This does not apply to the original sales assistant who was delightful but who would no doubt lose his job if he told people they could buy cheaper on line.

Went into the shop looking for racing cycle for my son.Very helpful and friendly, let my son sit on the bikes. Which some of the large named shops would not let us do. Would use again.

This shop has consistently given great service to myself and family. I have lived in Guildford for 15 years now and have seen bike shops come and go. This shop is not the cheapest but i am a firm beleiver in paying for exceptional service.

Got a terrible shock from this shop charging me £20 for a 2 minute job changing a buggy tyre. I was fobbed off that is was their 'minimum labour rate', and with no apology for the high cost. The tyre cost an additional £10. My usual bike shop charge me £6 and aren't so petty as to charge labour. £30 is FIVE times more and frankly money I could well do without wasting. My grievance is that I was not told up front about the very high minimum labour charge, had I known I would have just bought the tyre and fitted it myself. The Manager was disinterested and unhelpful when I said I thought it was steep, so I felt forced to pay it. Wish I had seen this earlier reviewer, but the tyre went flat when I was in town, so I came here in a rush.

I went into the shop to buy a 2nd hand bike to be used for 10 weeks. The only bike in my price range (50-70 pounds) was a rusty mountain bike, meeting the minimum requirements. Happy anyhow to purchase at a price way higher than at recycling\charity shop rate, and its actual standards (the honest price), the owner made a big fuss about adjusting the saddle, the front break (bit tight), and oiling the chain, before I went off with it. He almost lost the sale as he annoyingly kept referring to me in the 3rd person to his assistant while I was there. Would not do business with this seller
