• Lovely food, but portions slightly too small

  My fiancee and I went to Rumwong this sunday evening, we walk in without booking and got table straight away. Food was really delitious, I must say rice portions were much smaller then at Thai Terrace. Stuff were very helpfull and kind. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and highly recomended the main cusine No 41!!!

  I like this place more than the Thai Terrace I find it far more relaxing.Food and service always good.My one and only down point is no draught lager the bottled stuff is very average ( and pricey) but its fine here if your into wine.

• A less busy alternative to the Thai Terrace

  I believe this restaurant is owned by the same family as the excellent Thai Terrace. There is at least some connection as the menu, food and service quality are identical.It's less busy than the Thai Terrace but the downside is that you don't get the views. In my opinion this place is best in the Winter as the Thai Terrace is great in the Summer evenings.I particularly like the oriental shop attached the the side of the restaurant which is brill for getting ingredients for home cooking. There is some competition now though in the form of a Chinese supermarket and a Chinese and Polish (yes I know, a weird combination) shop yards apart on Leapale Road.
