  Over due a make over which will probably happen next year in time for summer. The train ride should be longer. Birds, pet corner, penguins, and more. Okay for kids.

• Great day out

  Birdworld is a lovely park with a wide variety of birds of all types and makes a great family day out.Apart from the obvious (birds!) there are other attractions such as Underwater World which is a small-ish aquarium area which has various fish and reptiles. There is also a little farm where there are daily petting times so children can hold and cuddle some of the animals. Along with various daily shows (Herons, Birds of Prey and Penguin feeding) there are lots of activities such as a small maze plus two play areas.The cost isn't too bad thankfully and there is definitely a day's worth of activity for the average family. There is a cafe on site serving great home style cooking at very good prices plus there are several picnic areas (one under cover) so that you can bring your own food if you like.Overall a great day out for a family with young-ish kids.
