Warm Welcome

When my wife and I first came to Haslemere in 1999 we dropped into the Poacher's Pocket without a booking. Unfortunately they were fully booked but they sat us down and phoned some other local restaurants for us to see if there were any avaialable tables. Exceptional service which gave us a wonderful, early impression of Haslemere.

My experience

I have been here a number of times with work and enjoyed reasonably good food, despite a rahter limited menu. Our last visit was a real disappointment however, the staff were rude in front of our guests and objected when we asked for a doggy bag, stating that we would use it for blackmail via environmental health complaints. I have eaten in restaurants of all kinds across the UK, Europe and the rest of the world and never been treated in this way. BEWARE!
