Auberge are friendly bar restaurants found in town centres throughout the South East. Auberge serve classic French dishes with a modern twist, from a quick sandwich to a full a la carte dining experience. Accompanied by an excellent selection of beers and wines from around the world, Auberge is ideal for all times of day and any occasion.
On my visits to the place service has been quite slow, atmosphere like being on Uranus, I can think of no good reason to go back. This used to be a car showroom in the 60's which says it all really.
Not that much atmosphere and the beer is very expensive. Not eaten here so can't comment on that but what I can say is that I've never had food because the atmosphere (lack of) and probable prices scare me off. They do serve Belgian beers though, which is obviously a plus point. In fact when I think about it there are no real cheap spit and sawdust pubs up this end of town anymore, I guess the nearest are the Royal Oak and the Robin Hood on Sydenham road.

Nice atmosphere and a good selection of Belgian ales but hugely over priced (probably worth avoiding just for this). The food is very average and the eating area is cold and uncomfortable. The bar area is the opposite with sofas and dim lighting
