  This place is perfect - the food is great , the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Ideal for a birthday / christmas party!

• Very nice restaurant come wine bar

  This place is ideal for a night out. Very nice inside, with a great selection of Indian food. Feels more like you are in a wine bar once inside, which adds a bit of sophistication. A good selection of wines/beers too.

• Great food!

  Zaffron is a lovely little curry place which servers great food at reasonable prices. It's not typical of most Indian restaurants as it has its own little bar area which is great if you are waiting there for a take-away.The staff are wonderful, on several occasions I've seen them make origami animals for visiting children which is really nice. The waiting service is great, they are very attentive but not too overbearing.The food is lovely, a good range of standard Indian fayre with a few brilliant 'house' curries to go with it. I would say it's definitely better than most Indian restaurants I've eaten in.The restaurant is quite small but doesn't feel cramped, it's nice and clean and well looked after. There is ample parking outside and it's quite near the town and easily walkable from the train station.A really nice restaurant and their take-away is excellent too, they do an all you can eat at lunch time on a Wednesday which is great.

• Friendly, great food

  Fabulous indian food, served in a friendly environment. Introduced by friends, love it here. My only "no" is (can't spell this) juppattis - not so tasty! The naan is lovely though, as are the mains. Lovely.
