Waistcoats from waste fabric Wastecoats are a new fashion brand, made out of recycled materials and cotton off-cuts. Each garment is lovingly decorated with watch faces, brooches, vintage keys, and other beautiful recycled Indian hand craft items This hand made process ensures that no two items are the same, making each one of our wastecoats totally unique! These retro hippy-chic fashion items are a wonderful and unusual gift idea.

Trade Bodies / Associations

We give support to the Jaswant Charitable Trust set up by the Royal Family at Deogarh Mahal to provide a hospital for the area and schools for desert children.

Any Specialist Products or Services?

Tamarind Tree Originals endeavour, wherever possible, to use recycled items for decoration to the wastecoats. The sourcing expedition in Rajasthan in early 2008 produced the small elephant bells, the stitched fabric birds, wooden beads and animals. All these items are made and sold by local craftspeople. Sourcing in the UK has produced a wealth of items, many donated by generous friends who support the recycling effort and our commitment to donate a minimum of 10% of our profits to charity.
