Really unprofessional, quick in out procedure...Didn't ask for any ID or offer any aftercare..Pierced both my lobes and cartilage with a gun and incorrect jewellery Which led to having problems with both piercings, the peiricing in my lobe actually inbedded itself in my ear...(Literally under the skin, it gets it's name for a reason) and have had to go to the doctors about my cartilage peircing which shouldn't be done with a gun... Please please please consider paying a bit of money and going to a clean, reputable and professional studio and don't make the same mistake I did!

Overall I really recommend Under the Skin for anyone who wishes to get a piercing living in the area. I went there and got my top ear pierced as well as my belly button and thought the service was fantastic. I dont even wear either piercing now but neither hole has closed up and i can still put earings and bellybars in and have had both done for around 5 years.

i want a tattoo on my wrist which would be three words, it's something that means something to me personally. i want it about average size, so not too big, not too small. I also want another tattoo of 6 or 7 words on my left side, with a design around it, i want it fairly small, but not so small that it's unreadable. would anyone possibly know how much each of these would cost? as i'd like to know soon as i'd like to make sure i would ave enough. also is there any age you need to be to get a tattoo at the shop, as i'm not sure. i've had mates go and get peircings there before, and some are planning to get tattos underage but i'm not sure if it'd work or not??

I had my tongue pierced there when I was 15. Was fine no problems at all. Had a tattoo on the side of my hand a couple of years ago which they ruined it looks like a dodgy bodge job that I've had to have re done!

I went here to get my nose pierced & it was brilliant :) Job done in 5 minutes, & only costs £5. Everything is clean and the guys are really friendly and chatty, my nose was great after. Also had my tongue pierced here, I'm 14, they have you sign a sheet that say's you are 14 or over, and then pierce it! Only £20 for tongue piercing, didn't get infected, again really quick and they gave all sorts of information of how to clean and what to do in certain situations. I recommend it :)

Okay. I live like 5 minites away from under the skin. So I am a refular customer. Basically if your looking for a tattoo. This is not the place to go. They have very basic tattoos and if you take your own in they are a bit iffy about doing it. Also some of their prices are ridiculous. However pericing wise, mm its okay, I have been to better places. The back studio reminds me of something out of saw, it is very plain with just a dentist chair, usually a lovely irish guy does the pericings. Tattoos will usually be done by gordon and dave who are so nice. They are very good friends with my parents. But on a hole I would recommend going to somewhere like camberley or guilford. Also for those who are worried about the drug dealer. Yes there was a dealer there at one point but tbh he did the best tattoos and peircings and he was so funny. But yeah thats about it:)

well ive had many tattoos and many peircings, and i wouldnt go back here personally, its not terrible, its clean and there ok guys, but there are definatly better artists out there within easy reach. i had 2 of my peircings done here. two got infected, even though i am very clean, and caring of both my tattoos and peircings. i had my tongue and ear done on the same day one after the other here, and they both got infected. i have a total of 35 peircings and the rest of them i never had infection with. it may have just been bad coinsidence, and i dont hold a grudge but its still not ideal. atall. one guy that was there was rumourd to deal cannabis in the shop, that was a while ago now but he isnt there anymore, he is also called dave, but is not the main guy who is the owner also called dave. there was also a guy there with blondeish dreadlocks, when my friend went to get her nipple peirced, he was far from appropriate, i was with her when she got it done, and yes she is a very attractive, girl but she is also in a long turm relationship and she is very shy herself. he was a right slimball. but i havent seen him there since and that was 2006. it is ok but i would say stick to dave or gordon, and no1 else, but i think you can definatly do better than here without question. also there are alot of people on here that are asking if they can get tattoos done before 18, for one its 18 legally for a reason, and for another thing, dont get a tattoo because you think its cool, you really will hate it later. seriously. do some growing up first.

i have had my nose pierced, twice - twice only because the first time i was fifteen and not actually allowed so my mum went mental and i took it out lol and i have also had my belly pierced, and have had no problems with any of my piercings, it was clean and sterile, and the guys are friendly. i am intending to go back soon and get my tongue done, as my boyfriend has his done and it looks cool lol

I Would Highly Recomend Under The Skin To Anyone, All The Rumors You Her Are Fake Pure & Simple, They Are Very Clean and Very Professional

The only place where none of my friends or I have ever had any problems with our piercings or tattoos. Despite it's... not so reputable location, the people are friendly and it's all clean. It even smells of a doctor's surgery (good or bad, depending on your view of doctors)!

This was my first tattoo when I went in the first time to look around they were spotless even the waiting room they were friendly and happy to help. when I went back on the day of the tattoo after filling it the forms they led me to the room were they do the tattoos spotless yet again you could see them proper the needles and the colours the TV was on the tattooist was friendly and showed you were he had put the stencil before he started and it did not hurt as much as I thought it would or as much as people said it would ( I had mine on the shoulder blade) and showed you the finished piece of art before the dressing went on, I say art because it really is it looks amazing and real I am defiantly going back there for my second and would recommend for anyone getting their first or latest tattoo.

I went and got my tongue piercing at under the skin and i was scared of getting it done i was hoping gordon woud do it but he was busy doing some blokes tattoo , so i got stuck with dave which is not a bad thing. I filled in the forms and then dave led me into the back room gordon wasnt that far from me doing this blokes tattoo so to keep my mind of the peircing i watched gordon. dave sprayed some numbing stuff on my tongue and asked me to keep myself shut because i cud dribble and that but me bein me did not stop talking and ended up dribbling down myself. Dave got everything ready , to be honest the scarest bit of it was seeing the needle he was going to peirce my tongue with ( i nearly fainted) then he asked me to stick out my tongue i did and he was talking to me while he was doing it then after about 20 secs he went u can put ur tongue back in now its done. I was amazed i did not feel a thing and they were all very friendly. I would recommend them to everyone!!

Last month, I went back to Under the Skin for my third piercing there. As soon as you walk in, the smell of cleanliness hits you. Then the knowledge that Dave, one of the tattooists there, is also a qualified nurse, along with the immaculate appearance, is all quite reassuring. After filling in my forms, I was taken through to the studio, which was spotless. The procedure (a navel piercing) was quick and painless, and with the correct aftercare advice, and the invitation to come back if I had any queries at all, I have had a trouble free piercing. In my opinion, Under the Skin is the safest, and cleanest place to get a piercing or tattoo, and as the prices are excellent, should definetley be considered.
